Experience the delight and comfort of the 1740 DuPre House Bed and Breakfast nestled in the Historic District of seaport Georgetown, South Carolina. Your host, Richard and Judy, invites you to a personalized vacation as you enjoy the ambiance and history of the DuPre House Bed and Breakfast. No agenda is necessary while you are renourished in this renovated pre-Revolutionary home. This tastefully appointed home is decorated with original artworks and antiques. Five guest rooms, each with a private bath, are offered. All are uniquely decorated and furnished with reproduction four-poster beds. Guests may choose from rooms with a private veranda, a soaking tub or a fireplace. Nightly turndown service and our plush terry cloth robes are provided for your comfort. The verandas overlook the gardens and swimming pool. Rocking chairs allow you to enjoy the late afternoon with a complimentary wine or beverage of your choice. Also, guests are invited to take a leisurely swim in the pool and to relax in the hot tub. You may spend a Southern interlude in our Pawleys Island hammocks shaded by century-old Live Oak trees. Each morning you will be served a full breakfast accompanied by special roast coffee. Breakfast includes fresh juice and fruit with the main entrée. Breakfast meats are served alongside the main entrée so that we may better serve our guests' with dietary needs. Seaport Georgetown on the Intracoastal Waterway is South Carolina's third oldest city. Elisha Screven first laid out the town in 1734. Homes in the historic district date back to 1734, and many belong to the 63 Registered National Historic Landmarks. Today you will enjoy the serenity of historic Georgetown while strolling beneath the canopy of Live Oak trees and past azalea and jasmine gardens. Extensive renovations have produced the riverfront Harborwalk with its specialty shops, restaurants and museums along Front Street. Pawleys Island Hammock Shops along with Brookgreen Gardens and Huntington Beach State Park are minutes from Georgetown. Annual events are the Prince George Plantation Tour, the Blessing of the Fleet in Murrells Inlet and McClellanville, the Harborwalk Festival, Bayfest, Atalaya Arts and Crafts Festival, Pawleys Island Tour of Homes, the Wooden Boat Exhibit & Challenge and the Dickens Christmas Candlelight Tour.
